4) Belaying

If it’s your first time climbing and you’d like to have access to 100+ routes in our rope room, we will teach you how to top-rope belay! Belay lessons usually take about 30-45 minutes. As a belayer, you will learn how to safely take and give slack to the climber on the wall. Belay lessons are $9. Participants must be at least 13 years old to belay. If you already know how to belay, we will do a belay check to ensure you belay according to The Commons regulations. For more information on belaying, visit our FAQ page.
