Fall Adult Bouldering League!
October 1, 2026 - November 12, 2026
Over the course of 6 weeks, teams of 4 will compete for a chance to win a prize! Every week the 3 highest scoring climbs by each team member will count towards their team’s cumulative total. The team with the highest score at the end of the 6-week period will be declared the winner and awarded a prize at the Prize Party on Nov. 12th.
If you don’t have 4 climbers to form a team, you may sign up as a “free agent” and we will assign you to a team.
Climb at your leisure throughout the week, and come to the weekly Thursday night meet-up to make new friends and cheer on teammates!
Score points for top 3 sends per week. After 6 weeks, the Team with highest cumulative score wins!
Celebrate your climbing achievements at the Prize Party on November 12th and earn an additional 50 points for attendance! Plus, any teams that score higher than the Staff Team will win a bonus prize!
How Does The Adult League Work?

Over the course of 6 weeks, teams of 4 will log their sends on KAYA. Every week the 3 highest scoring climbs by each team member will count towards their team’s cumulative total. The team with the highest score at the end of the 6 week period will be declared the winner and awarded a prize at the prize party on November 12th. Any teams who score higher than the Commons Staff Team will also win a bonus prize!

Anyone over the age of 18 may join a team and compete in the Fall Adult Bouldering League at The Commons! A gym membership is not required in order to register. All four team members must have an active KAYA account and must manually add themselves into the challenge within KAYA in order to begin accumulating points. The entire team will remain in limbo and unable to start earning points until all four members have each joined the challenge.
If you don’t have 4 climbers to form a team with, you may sign up as a “free agent” and be manually assigned to a team by our staff. However, if we do not have enough free agents to form a 4 person team, we may not be able to place you. So we do recommend first trying to form a team with other climbers if you can.
Team names must be respectful, non-discriminatory, and appropriate for the family-friendly gym environment of The Commons. Please make sure that some combination of your contact information in KAYA (such as your user name, profile picture, etc) is identifying enough that we will be able to figure out who exactly to award prizes to. For example, while we do understand the desire for anonymity online, Climber McClimberson is not an easily identifiable name for our staff.

A competitor’s score is directly related to their onsight grade as they have registered in KAYA. If a climber has indicated that their onsiqht grade is V5, they would receive 100 points for sending a V5. For a V6 they would receive 110 points. For V4 they would receive 80 points.
Each grade deviation is +10 for every grade higher than their onsight grade, and -20 points for every grade lower.
Every flash will also receive an additional 10 point bonus and there is no penalty for multiple attempts.
Climbers may attempt and send routes at their leisure throughout the week. The three highest scoring climbs per team member will count towards their team’s total at the end of each week. Each new week will begin with the opening of the new boulder set on Thursdays at 4pm.
There is no limit to the number of climbs that can be completed by a team member in a given week and routes do not expire, meaning they may be sent and counted towards the team’s total at any time over the course of the challenge. However, once sent and logged in KAYA, a single route can not be re-sent for any additional points.
-
All sign-ups must be completed by using KAYA.
-
Attendance of the weekly meet-ups are entirely optional! However, they are a great opportunity to hop on the brand new boulders that have been set that day, to meet and support other climbers, and to give and receive beta! A 50 point bonus will also be awarded to every climber who attends the Prize Party on November 12th!
