Hatha with Caroline (90 min)
Grounded | Slow Burn | Work out and work in
Mondays from 6:45 - 8:15 PM
Advanced Movements - Some Experience Recommended
Class Description:
This class offers a work-out and a work-in. Based on alignment and a clear mind, this class takes postures at the pace of deep belly breaths. Holding each pose for a few breaths to feel all muscles working together to become stronger and more flexible. Expect active stretching and strengthening at a slow pace - great for students that have at least a few classes under their belt.
Hands on adjustments offered!
What our members say:“The queen of Hatha is going to make you earn that love you feel for her. While I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner, this class is going to deepen any level of practice immensely. You’re going to be thinking dark thoughts in that three legged plank-dog-knee across chest-rinse-repeat series but then, when she offers you adjustments in sugar cane you’ll think you can accomplish anything. The roller coaster of your individual emotion aside, this class will derail self-imposed “limitations” and Caroline’s kindness and humor will distract you from the difficult moments. The vibe is chill and community building, the music is upbeat nature-centric sounds, and the flow is chef’s kiss. 10/10, Do recommend.”
About the instructor:
Caroline Johnson
Caroline has been practicing yoga for over 12 years, with Hatha yoga holding a special place in her heart. After 3 years of not finding a Hatha instructor in Boise, she traveled to Rishikesh, India, to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the base of the Himalayas. The physical and mental practice of yoga has profoundly changed her life, and she’s thrilled to share her passion of growing strong while also growing soft on and off the mat.
Her teaching focuses on body awareness, extension, and alignment, guiding students to tune into how their bodies feel through every stage of movement. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her dancing at a bluegrass concert, walking her dog on the greenbelt, or creating in her stained glass studio.
