The information below pertains to the Citizens portion of the event (open to anyone).

Price: $55 for members, $60 for non-members

Categories for both men and women: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Masters (40+), and Open.

Comp Style: This is a classic red-point style competition. We will be following the USAC Climbing rule book. All competitors will be allowed to climb any climb in the gym that they would like. All routes will be worth a certain number of points. Competitors will score on their 3 highest scoring routes. Climbers must climb from bottom to top with no falls. As soon as the climber falls they will be lowered. COMPETITORS WISHING TO LEAD CLIMB MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN DYNAMIC ROPE OF AT LEAST 35M.

Scoring: Climbs will be labeled by their point value, not by their grade. The easiest climb in the gym will be worth 100 points and the climbs will increase in value by 100 points. Lead climbs will be given 100 points more than their top rope version.

Categories are: 5.7-5.9, 5.10a-5.10d, 5.11a-5.11d, 5.12a+. If participants incorrectly sign up for a category, they will be bumped up into the category that reflects their score.

Finals: The top 5 scoring climbers in the men and women’s divisions will compete on a single onsite route. Climbers will have one try to top the route or control the highest hold they can.

Volunteers: We can't do this without you! We will need volunteer belayers for top rope and lead. Head here to sign up to volunteer for the Citizens comp, and here to sign up for the USAC portion. Thank you for your support!
